The Batsuit (or Bat-Suit) is Batman's costume and is essential in making him who he is. Though the suit has been drawn many different ways by different artists in the comic books and then re-interpreted and re-designed for the big screen, the stories themselves have described Batman as modifying the details of his costume from time to time. The Batsuit is most often depicted as consisting of: matching black (or blue) scalloped cape, bat-like cowl, gloves with a series of scalloped, fin-like protuberances, boots, and outerwear briefs; a utility belt; and a skintight gray body suit (with a stylized, black bat insignia emblazoned on the chest—either without, or within, a bright-yellow ellipse).
Batman wears this costume both to conceal his identity, and to frighten criminals. Most versions of the Batsuit incorporate some form of body armor, and often night-vision, gas filters, and other aids to combat effectiveness or protection. All versions of the costume incorporate a utility belt containing a variety of technological, mechanical, and crime-fighting gadgets.

In the Video games Batman: Arkham Asylum and its subsequent sequel Arkham City the batsuit appears more akin to that of the cloth versions often seen in the comics. But underneath the aesthetic layer was a series of armor to protect against ballistic damage. Throughout the course of the games the suit takes on more and more progressive damage. The mask contains a "Detective Mode" visor to allow Batman to investigate crime scenes, collect data, navigate and locate signals. The gauntlets contain not only Batman's signature spiked blades but also a hardened mini computer and remote for his vehicles. His cape is similar to the one in the Nolanverse films which permits him to glide across vast distances. His utility belt contains an array of gadgets some of which he either builds and accumulates over the course of the games.
This is my second part review of the recently released Hot Toys VGM18 (Video Game Masterpiece Series) "Batman: Arkham City" 1/6th scale Batman Collectible Figure - see my June haul posted on my toy blog HERE. The collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Batman from the game featuring a newly developed masked head sculpt with 2 interchangeable lower faces, newly sculpted muscular body and Batsuit, and detailed weapons.

Having already covered the box packaging and contents in the part 1 review HERE, I switched the lower face sculpt from the closed mouth version that came with the figure to this grit teeth version that is included as an alternate option for this second part review. Hands have also been switched from fists to partially-clenched gloved hands for a more menacing look. Seven extra pieces of interchangeable gloved palms are included. The other five are: one pair of relaxed palms, right palm for holding Batclaw, left palm for holding line launcher, right palm for holding Batarang.
This Hot Toys VGM18 (Video Game Masterpiece Series) "Batman: Arkham City" 1/6th scale Batman 12-inch (31cm) Collectible Figure comes dressed in a flexible rubber Batsuit with iconic Batman logo on chest, cape, utility belt, dark grey gauntlets, boots. This collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Batman from the game featuring a newly developed masked head sculpt, newly sculpted muscular body under the Batsuit, and detailed weapons. I must say I really like the look and although the rubber suit has its limitations, I think in this case it was a good decision as it makes Batman look really bada$$!!!
Love the long ear Bat-cowl / mask and lower face sculpt. Looks really awesome! Check out the close-up pictures posted below :)
Here's Hot Toys VGM "Batman: Arkham City" 1/6th scale Batman 12-inch Collectible Figure with the right gloved hand for holding the Batarang. The batarang is a roughly bat-shaped throwing weapon used by Batman as a non-lethal ranged attack alternative to firearms, which he rejects outright due to the circumstances of his parents' murder. Though they are named after boomerangs, batarangs have become more and more like shuriken with time.
In the Video games, the Batarang is used for disabling thugs, opening doors or destroying things. There are also Batarangs with sonic versions that disable high frequency sound, a remote controlled version that can navigate around and through obstacles.
Here's Hot Toys Arkham City Batman with his Line Launcher. It fires a parallel line in opposite directions so as to allow Batman to accelerate over distant obstacles or tightrope walk across silently. I like that Hot Toys produced a specific hand to grasp Batman's specific gadget / weapon.
Check out the close-up shots of Batman's Line Launcher
Hot Toys Arkham City Batman also has an Explosive gel spray which allows Batman to spray stable explosive and demolish obstacles and walls and destroy hazardous materials.
Last but not least, Batman also has his Batclaw with interchangeable hook. The Grappel Gun is used for ascension of buildings at high speeds, to boost gliding ability, disarming criminals from a distance and opening up heavy doors
There are two different hook attachments which are interchangeable.
